Ohio or Bust!

Well we did it! We made it to Ohio and back without hurting anyone. Thursday afternnon Keely, Doug and I drove to Columbia where we met Doug's father, Tom, brother, Joel and niece Sarah. From there we drove to Kentucky and spent the night at Doug's aunt, Margie. It was a great half way point and Margie got to meet Keely for the first time. We took pictures with her Friday morning before we hit the road again heading to Ohio. We arrived in Kalida right after two and found Doug's brother Brent and nephew Cayleb as we filled up with gas. Friday night there was a big get together at Art and Kay's (uncle and aunt). We got to see all of Tom's siblings and his mother Grandma Langhals. They live by Grandma's farm land so we enjoyed riding around the land on the 4-wheeler. It was so good to have time with Brent and his kids as well. Saturday was filled with catching up with people. Keely quickly picked her favorites: Aunt Helen and Dakota.
She would light up every time Dakota entered the room. And he seemed just as attached to her! We can't wait to spend a whole week with him at the beach next year!!
Sunday was a long, painful ride home. But everyone did so well. By the end, it was quite entertaining to see just how desperate we ALL got. Gramps was flapping his wings with Sarah to get us there faster. Sarah was making crazy faces trying to keep Keely happy. But we all made it. And the time with family was well worth it!
