"Animals...Zoo"

On our way out of town Monday, we took the girls to the zoo. I took Keely there last spring and she liked it but it was so much more exciting this time!! She would name all the animals and then make their sounds. She still didn't want to pet any of them, but she loved watching them! Macey actually did well too. Of course since Keely is her biggest entertainment, when Keely would get out of the stroller to walk around and see better, Macey wanted out too. Here is when Macey started saying, "My turn to see. Pick me up, please."

Keely liked the farm animals a lot because they were right there in front of you. The goats came right up to her. I tried to get her to pet them but of course that received and "eewww." This is the cow and the llama. She was shaking the fence and making her cow sound.

The elephants were one of her favorites. They were a lot closer this time than last time. I think they most have just come out for the morning. Keely kept making her elephant sounds and laughing. She didn't want to leave them. And when we finally did, she turned back around and tried to run back to them. Too cute!

You can't really tell, but those are penquins swimming behind us. We got to see them eat. They were very active which made it all the more exciting for Keely. This had to be her other favorite, that is mostly due to Lala (Alison).

Ever since Monday, if I ask Keely if she wants to go for a ride in the car, she says "amals" (animals) and then "zoo." She gives me the same response to taking a walk in the stroller. So today we took a trip to our local "zoo" aka PetSmart to see the animals there. I am sure there will be many more trips to the real zoo in the future!
