Catching Up Again

Life seems to stay so busy these days, that when I get around to looking at the blog, I can't believe how dated it is! So I will get right to it and fill you in on what is happening around here:
Keely just got back from spending a week at Yaya's house. She had a blast. She never asked for us and the only person she seemed to miss was Macey. She didn't even want to call me on the phone. However, Macey would jump up and down and smile when she heard Keely's voice on the other end. She loved informing me that she was "snuggling Yaya and Caca." The above picture is Caca and Keely with their "nannies." The here is a picture of Keely sleeping "with" Caca but really it is on top of her. I don't know how Caca gets any sleep when they share the bed but she insists on doing it anyway.

Doug and I forgot how easy life is with one child and took full advantage. We had a sitter twice and had some quality time together. We also did several child swaps so each of us had plenty of alone time as well. It was the longest I've left Keely and by Wednesday, I was ready to see her. But it wasn't until Thursday we finally went to pick Keely up. We made a trip to the zoo, saw family, Doug went on a camping excursion with my brothers and I had pottery painting day with the girls. (I definitely left my camera at home and don't have any pictures to share from the exciting weekend.) We are all home again. And one of the first things I did was grab the girls for some mommy snuggle time. I had a lot of catching up to do!! As much as Keely loves to tease me about snuggling with everyone else, she still asks me for snuggle time several times each day. And I treasure every opportunity! Here is a picture of the girls ready for our run. I think they look funny but they have the routine down. I lather them with sunscreen and hats. Then fill up the middle cup holder with cheerioes for them to snack on and take off. Don't be too impressed, it's a very slow pace and I still haven't made my 3 mile goal with the stroller. Our favorite route is to the river and back. The love seeing the water, and I love the break in the middle of the run!
