Driving Miss Macey

We made it through golf season! And we celebrated it by catching the stomach bug. It was a first in our household and we wouldn't mind if it was the last. The Lord was good to us through it all though. First, Keely and I were the only ones that got it. Second, Doug was supposed to be out of town but was able to change his plans and stay home with us. Third, Doug's parents were in town and came and got Macey so the rest of us good get much needed rest and she could be removed from the sickness. It took Keely a little bit longer to get over it than me, but she is definitely back to being herself again. She is much more pleasant to be around when she is feeling well (she entertains me instead of me trying to entertain her).
The camping trip Doug was supposed to go on still needed to use our car (which was fine since we weren't going anywhere while we were sick). But Keely was very concerned about "Keely's car." So when it returned, she was quite relieved. When Doug took it to work Monday, Keely started crying when it was missing again. But I informed her it was for a good reason...Daddy was bringing her a surprise. Hahaha, Daddy brought Keely a new car in "Keely's car!" One of the teacher's at his school was getting rid of her daughter's power wheels because she was too big for it. We gladly accepted the gift! It is so much fun for the girls!! Keely can just barely reach the pedal and pushes only every now and then. But she and Macey both enjoy sitting in it and pushing the buttons! It won't be long until they are cruisin' around the yard together.
Here is Macey trying to copy her big sister once again. Keely likes to stand up and pretend she is flying while we are pushing her in the stroller. (She knows she can't do this while we are running). Well, when we left the beach the other day, we stopped to rinse everything at the showers and lo and behold Macey was pulling herself up and standing just like her sister does.
