Falling for you
We are all in love with Wesley and adjusting well to being a family of SIX! Wes is doing great, growing, changing looks and believe it or not already a month old. Keely and Macey are protective, little mommies and willing to help out with Wes in any way they can other than changing diapers (though Keely did attempt a diaper change one time only to be sprayed with yellow poop...I am pretty sure she is scarred for life and definitely not about to change another diaper any time soon).

Kres somehow knows there is a difference between girls and boys and that this baby is indeed the BROTHER he has been waiting for. He already tries playing with Wes the way Daddy plays with Kres (throwing balls at him, tackling him) so we have to keep an eye on him. But he does love Wes and is very sweet with him. Daddy is still the all too proud dad of TWO boys and enjoys every minute with each of them whether it is playing ball or watching ball together.
Fall is into full swing with college football, cooler weather, pumpkins and apples galore. The past month has been busy with family visiting to meet the latest addition. I even braved driving the four kids by myself to Columbia so Papa and Caca could meet Wes. We continued the tradition of letting Papa take off the umbilical cord because once again my child refused to lose the cord. But I also let Papa catch a nap with the little man.
Wes had his first dance party with Caca and the rest of the gang. I wonder if he will follow in his sisters' and BJ's footsteps who love the dance parties or his brother's and run out of the room after the first stanza of the first song.
The older I get the faster time seems to go by. I keep watching my kids thinking where is the time going and then laughing at myself for sounding like my mom. But I still feel very blessed for every funny little saying, trip to the park, Saturday mornings snuggling in bed, Magnadoodle picture, family devotion. They help drown out the sleepless nights, stomach bugs, cancelled plans. :)
