Fall Festivities

Last week our house caught a virus and spread it to everyone except Wes. It left us stuck in the house, tired and cranky. It started with Kres running a fever and ended with Kres having a bloody nose due to a sinus infection incurred from the congestion. In between, Doug missed a day of school, I suffered some long days with the kids feeling achy, Keely got knocked out with a fever and Macey got an ear infection as a result of the virus. There were numerous sleepless nights, but we made it through!

The hardest part of the whole ordeal was missing the Fall Festival at our church. I have never been a big fan of Halloween. Our kids have never trick or treated and didn't miss that. So since we were too sick to do anything else, I made up some games for the back yard, dressed everyone up and headed outside for our on little Fall Festival. We even let them eat candy!

Pin the stem on the pumpkin. Keely pinned the swing set. Macey pinned me! And Kres just ran around with the stem.

Gramps and Nan were in town with Helen and Kenny. We were afraid of sharing our virus with them so we didn't get to see much of them. They were kind enough to stop in and say hey and bring us some of our favorite doughnuts. We used them to play this game. You can't use your hands to eat it. Hilarious!

My little puppy dog. It was a hand me down costume but very appropriate since Kres loves dogs!! He loved wearing the costume despite how hot is was. We still have it out because he loves to push the nose and hear it bark.
