Peter Pan Party

Before we went to Disney World in February, we had a Disney movie marathon to count down to the trip.  The first movie of the marathon was Peter Pan.  It was the first time the kids had ever seen it and it became a favorite.  Macey especially latched onto it and has wanted everything Peter Pan since.  So of course, we had a Peter Pan birthday party for her!  I don't usually do big birthday parties, invite a few friends for a play date and have cake/icecream.  But when my cousin, Jacob, was here visiting in May I mentioned he should come be Peter Pan since they have the same birthday.  I wasn't sure he really wanted to but low and behold, he did!!  And that got my sister and brother on board.  SO our little birthday party turned into a grand Peter Pan themed day.  Macey had a few little friends over but we had the whole cast from Peter Pan here.

Yaya and Mrs. Kathy gave the favorite birthday gifts.  Yaya gave her a stuffed Peter Pan doll and Mrs Kathy gave her a handmade Wendy dress that looks authentic.
Once Casey, Walker and Jacob were in costume it was hard not to join in the fun.  Casey was Tinkerbell, Walker was Captain Hook and Jacob was Peter Pan.  Captain Hook and Peter Pan had several battles which in itself was party entertainment.
Keely started out as Pan's shadow (a Caca creation of course).  But then changed into a sassy fairy friend of Tinkerbell's.
Kres went from Hook to alligator to pirate.  

They characters led a game of Twister with the kids first spinning while the kids played, then playing while the kids spun.  Both providing loads of fun.  
And because Macey doesn't like cake, we had rootbeer and dr. pepper floats.  And the birthday boy and girl got to blow out a candle.  Yaya also provided a caramel cake which I think the adults enjoyed more than the kids.  It was a great day and didn't take any more time, money or effort than my typical parties.  Though it went down in Langhals family history as the greatest yet thanks to an enthusiastic aunt, uncle, and cousin.
