The New Life

After over a month of Keely being in school, it isn't "routine" but it is normal.  I have found that it is good for all of the kids to have the different "roles."  Macey has stepped up so much to help with the boys.  She and Kres have become best buds.  Wes adores her as much as Keely now.  We are figuring out that Keely needs her time when she gets home to veg.  I find it ironic that after two years of doing everything with four kids, it is actually easier to only drag three around.  Of course, they are all older now and that makes it easier too.  But today I needed to run to the grocery store and turned it into a morning out.  We went to the Outlets not to look for anything in particular but walk around and "ride" on the rides.  I love that I can still get away with just letting them climb all over them and not have to put the money into it to make them go.
I got an email from Keely's teacher asking me to surprise her at chapel last week because she was being given an award.  The school is trying to instill godly characteristics in the students.  Thus, every so often they pick a student who is exemplifying those kind of characteristics and recognize them in chapel.  Keely was chosen by her teacher last week!  One from each class was selected.
The study of the alphabet continues.  Last week was "C" week.  Thus we made cupcake balls.  They tasted better than they looked.  We made brownies for "B" and this week we cheated.  We were supposed to make doughnuts but Mrs. Kathy brought some not even knowing we were planning on it.  So we used those instead of making them.
