Beach Babe

Keely has become quite the beach babe this spring. That is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the beautiful weather. We try to go a couple of times a week. Sometimes it is just for an evening stroll, but Keely prefers to go during the day when she can actually play in the water. She is even getting better about keeping the hat and sunglasses on! Of course it is only because of all the attention she gets from them! This picture is with Karissa and Corrine Creeden. We like going with them while our Daddys are working. I was hoping Corrine would convince Keely playing in the sand is fun, but Keely still thinks getting sand on her, me or our towel is "EEEWWW." So as seen in the next picture, we usually end up standing or sitting in the ocean and letting the water splash over us. I guess that is just an excuse to go more often until she gets use to it!
We finally got Daddy to go to the beach for a play day last weekend when Karin and Dylan were here. I was thankful because it was cloudy and I didn't want to be the one playing in the ocean with Keely. So he got to freeze instead. I think Keely is going to be like all the teens down here who has the wet suit and still goes out in the middle of winter. She was blue all over but when you try to take her out of the ocean she just keeps pointing further out saying, "more, more!"

Well, the family is heading to Columbia for long awaited family visit this weekend. Then Keely and I will be staying until after our annual Suits vacation to Lake Keowee. We are very excited about all of our time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. I am hoping to continue the updates while away. I just have to make sure I remember to take pictures!! In the mean time, I hope you enjoy these!
