It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

We have officially made our first Thanksgiving/Christmas tradition for our immediate family! Because we travel to see family over Thanksgiving, we made the day before Thanksgiving our day to decorate the house for Christmas. This year our dear friend, Alison, came and watched the girls for a couple of hours while Doug and I got the house ready for the Christmas season! It's fun to carry on old traditions with our families while making our own family traditions!

Keely really wanted to join in the decoration process. So when she would walk in the room, she was up the ladder, emptying boxes, anything she could to "help out." What a great little helper. When Doug was bringing the boxes from the attic, every time I turned around Keely was up the ladder. When we had everything we needed out, Doug finally let me hand her up to him so she could see what the attic was all about. Not as exciting as she hoped. Getting her down safely was a lot more difficult. This was our first batch of Christmas goodies we made. I love letting Keely bake with me! Except Doug taught her the bad habit of eating the dough. We never get as many cookies out of the dough as the recipe calls for because Doug is stealing from the bowl every time I turn around. Can't wait to make many more Christmas treats!
