Vacation at a Glance

The week at Lake Keowee was a blast! But it went by way too fast! We did so much, ate too much and Keely thoroughly enjoyed herself. She interacted so well with everyone. But Aunt Casey was by far the favorite! There are so many wonderful memories to share and I hope to include pictures of as much of it as I can. This can give you a glimpse of how all of us spend our time while we are there!

All of the family gathers together which is getting harder and harder to accomplish as the family expands! Just being together is the most rewarding part of the trip. I missed out on the picture of all the girls but it was a good one of Keely with her three Suits aunts.

The best way to beat the summer heat is to enjoy the lake. And it felt wonderful this year. We brought kayaks for the first time and even though I didn't attempt to get in one, Keely did enjoy a quick ride with Uncle Gregory. We also tied the tube to the dock and made a mini swimming pool for Keely and me. It felt wonderful to relax in. I think I actually enjoyed it more than Keely.

Of course having a boat is always an added pleasure and so Papa once again supplied a boat for us to play on the water. I definitely missed out on all the water sports but family first. It is funny how your perspective changes as you become a mother. Don't worry I haven't given up wakeboarding for good but a safe delivery postponed this summer's trials! Keely and I enjoyed leisurely rides on the boat and she even got a little driving experience.
This is merely a glimpse of everything we did while we were there. Maybe future posts will have even more pictures. In the mean time, thank you to all of the family for spoiling both Keely and me while we were there, especially Papa and Yaya for providing the vacation!
