Santa Claus is Coming to Town...

December is already here and we are ringing it in well!! Doug and I decided to forego other plans for the day to spend the day as a family. It started with the girls sleeping past 7 am which was a pleasant surprise. I got them up when they started crying and brought them into the bed with us for some snuggle time!! It didn't matter that we weren't asleep, just being able to stay in the bed an extra 20 minutes was great! And the girls thought it was pretty special.
We then had our usual Saturday morning pancake breakfast and put on Christmas clothes to go to the Christmas parade! It was so much fun! It comes right through our neighborhood so we just walked to the end of our street. Keely was really into, especially when Santa came through. She already knows who Santa is and even climbed into his lap the other night to tell him what she wanted.

But I've said over and over again, my favorite part of Christmas is giving. The girls and I have gone out several times to find "surprises" to give other people. Keely gets into bringing them home to wrap and put under the tree. I love seeing the joy in her in giving to others. Especially since the whole meaning of Christmas is God giving His Son to us!

Here's Keely showing Santat what she wants in the top picture and then telling him!We are still celebrating and good season, a victory over the Gamecocks, but sad that we are watching Boston College right now instead of the Tigers.
