Swinging and Swimming

This week and next week are nothing more than the perfect summer vacation! Doug is off and spending much time at home. The weather is not too hot. And the girls are just wanting to have fun. We have been taking advantage and spending as much family time as possible. Yes, there is the occasional busyness of preparing for our upcoming trip, but for the most part it is just relaxing. Here are a few glimpses of how we have been spending our days:

Doug and I go for our morning run and end at the neighborhood park where the girls swing, slide and get their morning workout. The evenings usually end with an evening stroll. This is the girls taking their babies for a "run" in front of our house. Keely even does her "skretches" like Mommy!Around midday, we head to the pool for a quick swim. If we time it right, we are the only ones there. Sometimes another family with small children will show up. But the crowd doesn't hit until afternoon so we come before then. Just enough to cool off after the morning workouts. And get the girls good and hungry/tired before lunch and naps.Keely is quite the daredevil at the pool these days. She swims all by herself. And she loves to float on her back like Yaya. She even jumps in the pool and goes under. She is very proud of the fact that she can go under like the big kids. She hasn't quite figured out how to keep her mouth and eyes closed but it doesn't seem to bother her.

Afternoons are when Doug and I get any work and errands done while the girls sleep. Like I said, lazy days, but I wouldn't trade for the world!
