6 Weeks Later

So Christmas has come and gone since my last blog. Some things never change...like me keeping up with this. I would say it is one of my New Year's Resolutions to blog once a week but I never keep resolutions so I decided to skip them this year. Instead, I am finally taking time to sit down and catch up. I uploaded ALL my pictures from 2010! Now even my cameras are getting a fresh start. Instead of trying to write everything down, I am going to fill this blog with pictures.

Of course the Christmas break included lots of family time. We were in the Columbia the week before Christmas. And then had to go back New Year's Eve to be with the Langhals' side. Here is a picture of the grandkids/grandparents on both sides.

It was worth it to spend Christmas day at our home. And to do some of our own things, start new traditions. Our neighborhood hosted Breakfast with Santa the Saturday before Christmas that our kids gladly attended. People tell Macey all the time she looks like me but I am not sure where that comes from...yeah right. Here are the twins giving their cheesy smiles.

Yaya always fills a box with gifts for the kids to open. This year it was huge Christmas bags. But my kids enjoy it so much, when Yaya asks them what they want, they just say a box full of surprises. Kres got G I Joes (or man barbies) from Caca and liked them so much, we brought his whole bag home unopened. There was more gift giving and opening than any of us needed but it is such a magical time for the kids that it's worth it.

Once again we had our annual Chicken Head Bowl Contest on the Suits side. You will never guess who won (or lost). On Christmas morning, our kids were of course up early. Keely was in our room at 6:45 and waited patiently for the others. I started breakfast and then we all went into the living room to read the Christmas story before seeing what Santa brought.

My parents did the "big bag" thing for christmas this year too. It reminded me Memaw!
