Another month has gone by and believe it or not, I am still pregnant. This baby has already given us so many surprises and the late arrival is just one more. I am only 39 weeks but that is almost a week longer than my longest previous pregnancy. Still, we have managed to stay busy and having fun filling the time with fall activities. Macey went on her first field trip to Holiday Farms. She got to bring a pumpkin home and even though it was small, Doug helped her carve a Clemson paw into it.

For Wes' birthday, he got a Butterfly Habitat from Nan and Gramps. It is one of the best gifts ever. All four kids got into watching the caterpillars eat, shed, turn into chrysalises, and then emerge. The boys especially would check on them every day multiple times. It was fun and educational. It was great listening to the kids explain to Daddy the different stages with fascination and to see Doug's face when his 3,4,6 and 7 year old knew so much he didn't! After the butterflies emerged, we watched and fed them for several days and then had some friends over to have a special release party. Here is Wes, opening his Habitat to set them free.
Here is a shot of Doug and me on a date to Olive Garden thanks to some good friends who sent a gift card and our great neighbors who offered to babysit in order for us to have a night off before the baby comes. I am 37 weeks here, never thought I would still have over 2 weeks left!

Nothing says fall like football. We love going to the HHCA football games. This particular night was homecoming which is so much fun but leaves the kids and me on our own because Daddy has a lot of responsibilities. However, we had fun with friends. Mr. Green even let Kres and Macey try on the crowns for homecoming king and queen. I think I see a future in it for them.
