Walking in a Winter(or is it spring) Wonderland
Christmas is quickly approaching, which normally would be thrilling. Instead, I am anxiously praying for a miraculous healing of our family. Keely is now going on her third week of cough and conjestion. Macey is on her second and has developed croupe. Meanwhile, Doug and I are fighting to stay healthy. I was looking forward to so many fun activities, but for now everything is on hold (leaving me stir crazy!!!). But God is good in the midst of it all. We are having plenty of family time since we can't be around anyone else! He gives me the strength I need to keep loving the girls when I have heard enough coughing and whining.

On a positive note, the warm weather has allowed us to take walks and play outside. So while most people are complaining about it being too warm for December, I am so thankful for the excuse to be out of the house! It's kind of entertaining to find outfits each morning because I packed all the shorts away.
Keely is making phrases uses multiple words. I told Walker yesterday it's like comedy central here listening to her. Everyday she asks to go to Yaya's house (Yaya, car, go). And I tell her, "Not today." Well, this morning she looked back at me and very emphatically said, "Today, Mommy!" I couldn't help letting a smile slip out. I love listening to her trying to figure out how to group the words to convey what she wants.
Keely is becoming very independant during play time. Of course I love it because I am able to get more done. Macey enjoys watching her so I put her in her bumbo next to Keely and as long as Keely stays in the same place, they're both occupied!! At this time, Keely was actually reading to Macey, pointing to the pictures and saying what they were. It was too cute. Of course, it wasn't long until, Keely got bored and moved on to something else. Then Macey gets lonely and starts crying.
