Oh What Fun, Macey is ONE!!!

What a day! Since the day Macey was born was such a memorable event for Doug's family, we only thought it right to celebrate her 1st birthday with them. So we once again invited ourselves to Joel and Jana's and enjoyed a great day with cousins! Nan, Aunt Sherri and Karli even drove down for the event! We met at the Charleston Aquarium. What a great treat for the kiddos! They had different creatures you could touch, as well as huge tanks filled with all kinds of fish. We even saw a diver swimming with sharks! The girls were cute to see watching the fish.
After the aquarium, we went down to the battery and ate our picnic lunch before heading back to Joel and Jana's for naps, dinner, cake and ice cream. It was a great way to celebrate such a special occasion.

We had to get up and leave early to make the most of our day in Charleston, but of course not without a pancake breakfast for Macey's birthday. We let her have chocolate chip one for the first time. I can't tell if she liked it or not...:-)

I can't believe I let her touch that thing! She loved it and actually went back wanting to hold it! The man was very wise to carry hand sanitizer with him. What a kind little man. Macey was quite intriqued too. Here's our picnic at the battery. I had so many good pictures of the cousins here, but they will have to wait until another time. Macey gets the spotlight this time. Our group picture. Thank you for celebrating with us!After all that and dinner, she finally got to eat her cake. She enjoyed it though not as messy as Keely was. The good thing was, they were so wiped out they slept the whole way home! I can't believe it has been a year, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it for the world! I love you, Macey Mace! I pray you continue to grow in godliness!
