Thankful Hearts

The girls are back home and getting settled. We had a wonderful time in Columbia with family. The only disappointing part was we didn't see Gramps, Nan and Grandma. We all missed that. But we did get to see baby BJ! Burk and Ashley had their baby on November 25. He and his parents are doing well. He is adorable!! I think he looks like a Suits but others see some Nichols in him. Either way, he's a cutie. Keely is quite the proud little cousin.

As always, Thanksgiving was a delight. We had a great feast at Papa and Yaya's. The whole family was there minus Burk, Ashley, and BJ (who were still in the hospital). The food was delicious. Even the girls cleaned their plates. However, I gained more weight than I wanted when I had my doctor's appointment this morning. Oh well, atleast I have the pregnancy excuse. Here's our family at the Thanksgiving dinner table.Thanksgiving was the first day it was warm enough and dry enough to take the girls outside to play while we were there. They were both on medicine for infections so fighting the cold weather wasn't worth the risk for some fresh air. But we took full advantage of it on Thursday. We went outside after naps until it got dark. We played football (hence the football faces below), ring around the rosies, london bridges, bum, bum, bum, and fetch with Buckshot. It felt so good to run around and was even more fun watching the girls have such a fun time.Only three more weeks and we head back up for Christmas! And it will be a fun-filled three weeks! We have shopping to finish (though I have done most of it), parties to attend, parades to watch...I love this time of year!
