Transitions

I feel like the title of this post is very appropriate for where we are in life right now. First off because of our weather transitions. Last week we got up to almost 80. We actually went out on the beach for a brief visit while helping Nan investigate possible beach houses. Macey jumped in the pool at a friends' house not caring one bit it was ice cold. She even got back in after getting wet up to her chest! Now we are back to jeans and sweatshirts. But atleast we have sun today. We enjoyed some outdoor time before naps because I am afraid it may be a couple more days before we see the sun again. Going along with the weather transition is the season transition. We enjoyed our Valentine's and officially ended celebrating today with a trip to the store to purchase our wn copy of High School Musical 3 thanks to Caca! The girls wanted to take early naps so they could watch it sooner. (This was my attempt to make Valentine cookies with the girls. It resulted in flour all over all three of us, the girls eating so much dough they didn't want supper, and some pretty heart cookies we enjoyed eating all weekend long.)

Our next transition took Macey a little bit to convince but now she loves it. The girls have movedg into a room together. We have redone the room and made it completely girly. They love it! Keely tells everyone it is pink "Like Sally on Birthday Movie" (her favorite movie she watches at Yaya's house). There is a mural in progress and once it is done I will have pictures of the room to display. Here is how I am now greeted every morning when the "beep beep" goes off.

No, Keely doesn't climb down there and wake Macey up. She actually climbs down BEFORE Macey falls asleep and they sleep next to each other! Now I know why Macey resisted for so long! But she seems to enjoy it now. And after trying to stop it for several days, I realized there was no point. They don't seem to bother each other unless Macey's cough is active.Here's Keely convincing Macey that she DOES want to snuggle with her. I have lost my place now. Neither of them wants to snuggle with me now! Hopefully, baby # 3 won't let me down!

A couple of weeks ago, while the girls' room was being painted and Doug was in Charleston for basketball, the girls and I made a trip to Joel and Jana's. We had so much fun!! We even spent the night. Granted we were all exhausted from losing some sleep and playing too hard, but it was worth it! We saw Sarah at one of her Upward Cheerleading games. Keely joined her afterwards.

There is just nothing quite like cousin time. Here is Matthew walking Keely to the car when it was time to go. Neither of them ready to say goodbye. The good news is they will get to see each other this weekend for Matthew's birthday party! And ready or not we are all getting ready to experience the biggest transition yet....our next family addition! We are less than 6 weeks out now (if you ask Doug, it's four weeks)!
