We Got Skills!

Our new Christmas toys are still a hit well into January. And every day as I watch the children playing I think about how fast they truly are growing up. For instance, yesterday the girls were trying to decide whether to play house as "mommy and kid" or "friends living together." They opted for a whole new pretend game of college. They filled backpacks with books and purses with goodies, bid me farewell and "went to college" in Kres' room. They were roommates and took classes together too. As I am watching, I am thinking, "Please slow down! You are growing up way too fast." And I know college really will be just around the corner. Thank goodness for these few years at home.The favorite game in the house currently is basketball. Keely was hoping to play on a team this year but someone (that would be me) forgot to sign her up. So Doug coaches her at home and she is actually getting a good form. Kres is all boy wanting to play anything with a ball and his new goal keeps him entertained. And Macey is just Macey. Always good for a laugheliving life to the fullest, even with a basketball (as seen on the video).
