Where We Left Off

The week after Kres' birthday, our best friends the Creedens came to town. Last summer Trevor took a job in PA so this was their first visit back since moving. We were privileged to have them stay with us for most of their visit (though we did share them with Mrs. Kathy for the last 3 nights). It was just like old times (other than Kres and Zach learning to share). We filled the week doing all of the fun things we used to do with them and visiting their favorite places here. The best time was when Karissa and I had all the kids settled in for quiet times and bed time and we could just sit and talk. There are few people in the world that you can go for months without talking and when you actually get to sit and talk you can pick up right where you left off. That is how it was with Karissa. When the week was over, we were all exhausted from the fun times, staying up late, not sleeping well crammed together, busy days; but crying not knowing when we would see each other again.
