Kids Say the Darnest Things

I am dedicating this blog to more quotes from the kids because I need to write them somewhere
so I have a record of them before I forget! As always, most of what they say leaves me laughing or asking "Where did that come from?"

Kres so desperately wants to do everything the girls are doing, even helping with little brother. I have to keep a close eye because trying to "help" usually means Wes ends up screaming. This particular day, Wes was fussy, when things got quiet, I looked up and Kres was playing "Patty-Cake." I didn't even know Kres knew the words to it. I have never heard him say it before. Some of his other new sayings: "Shoot it!"when playing basketball, "I got it!" when he accomplishes something new, and singing "Happy Birthday" to all of our pieces of furniture

Keely and Macey both have wild imaginations that never stop. Macey lives in her own little world. And has great stories of "her children" or "college." Recently, we have had a lot of rainy days which means we are stuck indoors and we get sick of each other. Keely was having a particularly hard time at one point being mean to the siblings and disrespectful to the parents. The morning after it had come to a climax, she was in a better mood and informed me, "Mom, you could get a job and send all of us to school and then you wouldn't have to put up with all our crankiness." I made sure she knew I would rather put up with her crankiness than get a job any day!
Macey asks why people call her a "minime." I don't know, anyone got a clue?
Keely asked me why people always tell me I am a busy lady and have my hands full whenever we go to the store.
One morning snuggling with Macey, I hugged her tight and told her I love snuggling with her (she is a great snuggler). She responds, "Mom I love snuggling with you but you're stinky."

Wes is starting with food. It is a S-L-O-W process. He refuses a bottle (haven't had this problem before). And he is getting better (a little) at swallowing the food. I am trying to get three good meals in so I can spread out the feedings giving me more flexibility going places.
He is cooing, smiling, laughing, interacting so much now!

I know I have left some out. I hope I can remember and add more later. Priceless memories!
